Photo Disclaimer
Santa on State is a public event, and photography is part of the experience. Here's how photos and video are handled.
Photography at the event
Santa on State is free, and stays that way, there’s no professional photographer to pay. Our experienced volunteers are happy to take your photo with Santa on your own phone or camera, or you’re welcome to take it yourself.
Consent to be photographed
By taking part in Santa on State, you consent to being photographed or filmed, and to that photo or video being used to promote the event, on our website and social media, by local media covering the event, and by our sponsors and partners.
Santa on State can get pretty busy, so you may occasionally appear in the background of another guest’s photo or video. Please keep in mind that we cannot control photos or video taken independently by other guests.
If you’re bringing a child, walking through the door with them is you giving that same consent as their parent or guardian. We never identify children by name in anything we publish, we don’t collect it in the first place.
If you’d rather your photo not be used by Santa on State, just let one of our volunteers know.
Requesting a photo be taken down
If you spot a photo of yourself or your family that you’d like removed from our website or social media, let us know and we’ll take care of it promptly.
